The Longhouse Council is one of more than 270 local councils. Headquartered in Syracuse, NY, the council spans across 6 counties in Central New York and Northern New York.
The purpose of Scouting America, incorporated on February 8, 1910, and chartered by Congress in 1916, is to provide an educational program for youth of all ages to build character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness.
