What's New?

Attention Fair Going Scouters and Scouts

Camp Excelsior August 21- September 1, 2008

Still looking for Cub Scout Packs, Boy Scout Troops, Venture Crews, and Explorer Posts to participate in Camp Excelsior. See below for documents discussed at the 7/15/08 Information Meeting at the Council Office.

You will see that there is an attached blueprint for a Bluebird House. In the Cub Exhibit, there will be the interactive activity of building/assembling of the Bluebird House. Participants may purchase the kit for $5.00 and put it together onsite. How do we acquire all of the kits that we will need? I will be asking each Unit to provide 10 kits from the blueprint. There will be 36 time slots. Each Cub Pack will hopefully sell their 10 kits during their slot. I have an outside source that is going to produce as many kits that he can between now and the fair. So there will be more than the 360 Cub Pack produced kits. The proceeds from the birdhouses will be divided between the participating Cub Pack (you keep all proceeds from your 10 kits) and Council(every kit sold over your 10 earns you another $3.00 per additional kit. Council will receive $2.00). Each Unit will have an opportunity to sell popcorn at the fair as well. We will offer the micro 6-packs cash and carry $6.00 each during the fair. The Units and Council will both benefit from this sale. (the 6 packs are the contents of the micro 30 pack cases).

Thank you to those who attended the Information Meeting on 7/15/08.

A sign up sheet for your unit’s participation in either the Booth, Parade, and or Pool Project is below. Please indicate your interest and send back to me before 7/30/08.
