  Foil Pac Stew
  Ingredients
 

IIndredients are per person
1/3 lb. ground beef
1 carrot - peeled and sliced
1 potato - peeled and sliced
1medium onion - peeled and sliced
1 large pat butter
salt and pepper
Aluminum Foil

  Directions
  Lay out I or 2 sheets of aluminum foil approx 24 x 24. Double Wrapping is recommended.
Take a handful - Scouts do not usually use measuring cups - of the thin sliced potatoes, carrots and onion and place on center of foil. Add the ground beef on top. Add a pat of butter to top of beef and vegetables and season to taste with salt and pepper. Seal foil pack - double wrap and lay on hot coals for 10 minutes on each side. Remove when cooked and open and eat. Variations include using stew meat, chicken or fish as a substitute for ground beef.
