Covering Cayuga County and Red Creek,
Cayuga County District
encompasses the area of the former Cayuga County Council.
Welcome to Cayuga County District
Named after the Cayuga Indian Tribe. A wandering nomadic
tribe, having traveled around the northeast, never having a permanent
settlement, the Cayuga Indians came to the area of New York in the
1500’s. They were known as fierce warriors, who forced the Huron and
Algonquians, (the original tribes of New York), out of this territory.
As the early colonists arrived in North America searching for a better
way of life, the Indians and colonists shared ideas and knowledge.

Also, winter is right around the corner and now is the time to starting thinking about scheduling a snowshoeing program with us. Girl, Cub and Boy Scout dens and troops are welcome! I have attached Scout programs flyers for your convenience. We hope to see you and your Scouts at the Montezuma Audubon Center soon.

Dear Christina Sears and Scouts,
Please accept this note as a heartfelt thank you for your attendance and support for the recent Stand Down conducted at Case Mansion in Auburn, New York. Without your attendance and support, this endeavor of unity in caring for the plight of Homeless Veterans would not have been the success it turned out to be. Please note that 65 Veterans attended this Stand Down and within that number several benefitted from our collective effort. God bless you for caring and we hope that you will be able to attend our future Stand Downs in August of each year.
We plan to meet again in the very near future to begin planning for next year’s Stand Down and your continued support will be greatly appreciated.
TO ALL SCOUTERS
THERE WILL BE YOUTH PROTECTION TRAINING AT THE DECEMBER ROUNDTABLE. 7PM ALL WHO NEED THE TRAINING ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND.
YOU ARE ONLY GOOD FOR 2 YEARS
