Positions Available:

Assistant Ranger 

  1. Responsible for assisting the ranger in the operation and maintenance of camp infrastructure. Gain experience in fields such as; mechanic work, forestry, grounds keeping, vehicle operations, fuel operations, electricity, and more! A perfect, hands on opportunity to expand your knowledge tenfold.
  2. Must be at least 18 years old. 

Health Officer 

  1. Responsible for the health and welfare of camp. Provide compassionate care to camp - campers and staff alike - from physical injuries and ailments, to helping the homesick scout, you will be the epic medic of camp. Maintain a fully functioning health lodge - equipped with all a rural camp needs to provide the best welfare of all. Practice medicine in the unique setting of a wilderness camp, help campers and staff learn practical first aid and healthcare skills. From giving band aids, sweets and medicine; there is no small feat in providing the compassionate care needed for the welfare of Sabattis Scout Reservation. A perfect opportunity for any in the medical field! 
  2. Must be at least 21 years old.
  3. Medical Certification or license required. EMT-B, AEMT, Paramedic, Registered Nurse, Doctor. 

Shooting Sports Director 

  1. Manage the safe operation of the Rifle, Shotgun, and Cowboy Action Shooting ranges and instruction in these disciplines. Maintain awareness and accountability of the instruction at the Archery range. Educate scouts directly in Rifle and Shotgun shooting. Brandish excitement and education in firearms, build lasting memories for campers of when they shot a clay target, or challenged their leaders to a shoot off at the Cowboy Action range for slushies and bragging rights. See the joy, as scouts collect shells for hats, make their own arrow, and qualify. A perfect opportunity for any, especially for those that are passionate about shooting skills!
  2. Must be at least 21 years old.
  3. NRA Rifle and Shotgun instructor, and BSA National Camp School Certification -training available.

Shooting Sports Assistant 

  1. Responsible for assisting the Shooting Sports Director in educating and inspiring scouts in all aspects of Rifle and Shotgun Shooting. Demonstrate proper techniques and mentor scouts as they aim to shoot and qualify! Gain experience in shooting skills, education, technique and more! A perfect opportunity for any.
  2. Must be at least 16 years old.

Office Manager

  1. Responsible for office services and administrative support. Manage correspondence, both in camp and with the outside world. Maintain the epicenter of camp; design efficient filing systems, manage supply requisitions and clerical functions. Craft a daily newsletter for campers – a fun small little “newspaper” to keep campers informed and smiling. Become the face of camp, interacting with all who venture in and out of Sabattis Scout Reservation. Be the liaison between general camp/operations and the admin team. A perfect opportunity, especially for those looking to expand their clerical knowledge and skills.
  2. Must be at least 18 years of age. 

Mountain Bike Director 

  1. Manage the mountain biking equipment and experience offered at Sabattis Scout Reservation. Maintain a working knowledge of mountain biking equipment, trails, routes and procedures; as to ensure the best and safest experience possible for campers. Ride down rugged trails, guiding scouts to magnificent and picturesque locales, like; the Ice Caves, Lower Dam, Grass Pond Mountain and so much more! A great way to stay active and build adventurous spirits. A perfect opportunity for any, especially an active minded cyclist.
  2. Must be at least 18 years of age.
