Camping is an important part of the scout program for all ages. In the Hiawatha Seaway Council we offer a range of camping opportunities all year long. We have summer programs for both Cub Scout and Boy Scouts, along with year round camping at Camp Woodland.
Cub Scout Camping
We offer a full range of camping programs for Tigers, Cub Scouts, and Webelos. They can choose from day camp settings, resident camps on weekends or weekdays, or evening camps. Camp programs are available for each of the different age groups.
Boy Scout Camping
The "Adirondack Scout Camps" are made up of two camps. At Sabattis Scout
Reservation we offer a full range of programs with patrol cooking. New for this year we will be offering a limited dining hall experience at Sabattis Scout Reservation. The ASC Trek Camp is run out of Sabattis and offers immediate access to millions of wilderness acres in the Adirondack Park.
Year Round Camping
In addition to our summer camping opportunities we offer a range of other camping opportunities for programmed and open weekend camping. Camp Woodland offer year round camping opportunities.
At Camp Woodland both cabins and tenting sites are available. Cabins come with bunks and mattresses for all,and a wood stove or fireplace insert and wood. There is No electricity to cabins. See application for rules and procedures, site information, capacity and fees. All registration must be accompanied with payment and made with the camping department at the council office. Also required is a complete rooster of both the scouts and adults in camp. Please use Camp Woodland Unit Roster for this matter.
